welcome 2025 .. in a moment filled with deep sorrow and profound regret. Nearly two years of war and devastation have passed in Sudan. As the world celebrates the arrival of the New Year 2025 with joy, the Sudanese people endure immense pain, profound grief, and indescribable humanitarian suffering. Millions are displaced in camps within the country, while countless others live in exile and diaspora abroad.Since April 15, 2023, Sudan has been ravaged by its most devastating war in history. This war has spared no one, impacting all segments of the Sudanese people and wreaking havoc on every vital sector, from the economy to essential services. Schools and hospitals have been destroyed, and the infrastructure lies in ruins, bearing silent witness to the suffering of a nation that once aspired to live in freedom and dignity.

This is not merely a conflict between warring factions; it is a war against the Sudanese people, their legitimate aspirations, and their dreams. Contrary to the claims of those who lack vision and wisdom, this war cannot end with the victory of one side over another. It is an absurd war led by those whose narrow thinking is confined to personal gains, profiting from the blood of innocents and the suffering of citizens. The only solution to this catastrophe lies in halting the war and bringing all parties to the negotiating table. This suffering must end with the achievement of a just and comprehensive peace. As for the hateful voices promoting the continuation of war under the guise of patriotism, they are devoid of ethics and humanity.

As we welcome the New Year 2025, Sudan remains engulfed in gross human rights violations and breaches of international laws. Thousands have lost their loved ones in a war that serves only narrow agendas and personal interests. The regional and international community must shoulder its full responsibility toward the Sudanese people. Standing idly by in the face of these atrocities, which have left millions hungry and displaced, is unacceptable. We mourn the souls of all those we have lost in this war and extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to everyone who has lost loved ones. We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured and the safe return of the missing.
